Launch On Demand is proud to introduce LOD Holdings, our development arm specializing in the planning, financing, and execution of spaceport projects worldwide. LOD Holdings has signed an agreement with the Government of the Dominican Republic to develop a commercial spaceport near Oviedo in the province of Pedernales.
This initiative began a few years ago with a simple question from the nation’s leadership: how can the Dominican Republic leverage the space domain to strengthen its future? Since then, our team has spent time here meeting local leaders, developers, and students. What stands out most is not just the scale of the project, but what it represents for the next generation of Dominicans.
This is about more than launch infrastructure. It is about opportunity. It is about building long-term technical capability. It is about creating a pathway for Dominican talent to participate in the global space economy from their own soil.
